Hey there,
I bought a 4 colour printing kit from you a matter of months ago and I love it but I found that cleaning away the excess emulsion away after exposure can sometimes not fully clean all the excess away and it means the subsequent prints sometimes are not perfect or sometimes if I clean one part for too long it starts to remove the exposed/hardened emulsion and the design is ruined. I was wondering what the best method for removing the excess emulsion is that you know of as I wish to provide high quality prints and not have to redo a screen. I was also wondering the best method for cleaning excess ink from the screen so that if at a later date I want to do more prints I can without having to redo the screen.

I think the answer to all of your problems is a higher pressure wash out or a pressure washer, you will get faster emulsion washout times and more ink removed during washout, you can also get stubborn emulsion out. Be carful not to get too close to the screen with a high pressure it is also possible to damage the mesh.

Hi,
I am looking to purchase the 4 colour screen printing kit, but I have a couple of questions - if I buy the 4 colour kit, would I need to buy anything else to make a complete screen printing kit? Also, I know that your website says the kits are used for t-shirt and bag printing, but I'm a graphic designer and would be printing onto paper - would that be ok?

Hi P,
Yes printing onto paper is fine, you can print onto any flat surface that you can fit under the screen.
The kit is complete but you may need a hair dryer for faster drying times.

Sorry about the delay. The kits come with everything needed to print t shirts etc. The process is easy enough but if you are unsure about any part of the process YouTube is a good source for tutorials, we also supply an instruction CD with the kits,
